EP 75: A Few Thoughts On Accepting Tips... Or Not.
In my almost 17+ years in the bodywork industry one of the questions I get most often is, “Should I accept tips or not?”
Many practitioners have strong opinions on allowing tips in your practice, so on today’s episode I walk through my perspective and experience around the topic and how I've navigated it so I can be truly present with each client.
I’ve learned over the years how to create a safe space for my clients by charging premium prices for premium services. One of the best parts of being a business owner is that you are able to make your own choices for your practice that resonate with you, and you’re able to do it with intention.
“This whole conundrum around tipping can lead clients to feeling really uncertain and ill at ease. Are they expected to tip? How much do they tip? What if they don’t feel like they received a premium service, should they still tip? This uncertainty around tipping can leave clients unsure and doubtful, the exact opposite of what we want them to feel.”
